SPECIAL SCHOOL FOR THE HEARING IMPAIRED

Parivarthan (An Integrated Rural People Welfare Society) is dedicated to providing quality education and rehabilitation for children with hearing impairments. Our special school, supported by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Disability Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi, along with local donors, offers both day and residential care to ensure holistic development.

Our mission is to empower children with hearing and speech disabilities by equipping them with essential communication skills, fostering independence, and building a strong foundation in language and speech. Through specialized training, comprehensive evaluations, and diagnostic services, we create an inclusive learning environment tailored to their unique needs.

At Parivarthan, we go beyond education by offering vocational training, speech correction therapy, counseling, and free diagnostic services. With the support of special educators and advanced tools. We strive to enhance the quality of life for hearing-impaired children. Our holistic approach extends to rehabilitative services for both students and their families, ensuring long-term progress and integration into society.

CLINICAL ASSESMENT

Comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and educational services are being provided to the hearing & speech impaired. An interdisciplinary team of special educators, social workers, ENT specialist,s and pediatricians maintain high standard of rehabilitation services like:

Evaluation and diagnosis of hearing, speech, and language impairment
Medical consultation and guidance.
Selection and fitting of hearing aids with Ear Moulds.
Speech and language therapy.
Parent guidance and counseling.
Educational evaluation and guidance to parents.
Psychological evaluation and counseling.
Vocational Rehabilitation and counseling.
Awareness programs for different target groups.
Technical guidance to various agencies.

FACILITIES AT PARIVARTHAN SPECIAL SCHOOL

In addition to normal speech and auditory training equipment, the school has the latest Computer Aided Speech Development System along with normal education to the students. Parivarthan organized number of skill development / vocational training and other training programmes to improve the skills of Hearing Impaired Children. The institute also focuses on the individual’s competence, deficiencies, learning and residual capacities of the children with special needs. It encourages them to participate in sports & games, cultural activities to exhibit their hidden talents on several occasions. Many children with Hearing Impairment have participated in different events and won several prizes during the year 2020-2021. Apart from the special education & training, this institute has also conducted some special events, in which children with special needs and faculty of the institute have actively participated
